A practicing veterinarian for nearly three decades, Dr. Joel Todd Leroy Prince is currently a partner at three associated Chicago, Illinois-area pet clinics. In 1993, the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners certified Dr. Prince as a Canine and Feline Practice specialist, making him one of just 15 Doctors of Veterinary Medicine in the state of Illinois to achieve this distinction. Dr. Joel Todd Leroy Prince also holds board certification in the area of Small Animal Practice. His present duties at the Elmhurst, Naperville, and Glen Ellyn Animal Care Centers include a full range of preventative and recuperative health care services.
After obtaining his undergraduate degree in Animal Science from Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa, Dr. Prince went on to pursue his medical doctorate at the University of Illinois in Urbana. To remain up to date with the latest advancements in his field and to give his patients the state-of-the-art care that they want and deserve, he undertakes more than 100 hours of postgraduate study each and every year.
Dr. Joel Todd Leroy Prince is an avid animal lover both in and out of the office. He and his family own a beautiful black and tan Doberman that goes by the name of Ari. When he isn’t caring for Ari or the companion animals of others, Dr. Prince enjoys snowmobiling, traveling, and participating in a variety of sports and athletic activities. He holds current and concurrent memberships in the Chicago Veterinary Medical Association, the Illinois Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Veterinary Medical Association.
